The instructions state the Views Carousel Block pulls content created with the Article content type. There is no 'Article' content type.
There is also no 'views_carousel' available in the Site building > views.
I have viewscarousel and jcarousel modules installed.
Am I missing something?

If you're installing on a fresh installation or an existing site instead of using our install package and installation profile, you'd have to follow the guide that's included in the zip titled "Starfish from Scratch (Advanced Users)". The Article content type and view have to be imported using the exports provided in the zip.
If you did all of that and it's still not working, I'll need some more information or might have to look at it before I can figure out what's wrong.
