Uploaded image not showing everywhere
When I upload an image, it will show in the create content page, but not on the index page (in it's location in the blog).
The path is:
http://armandtan.armandtan.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/lead-image...
So I checked the folder and the image isn't there. So i suspect that uploads to that imagecache not working???
Any thoughts?

Hi,
There's a couple common reasons this happens - the first is permissions on the server itself. You may need to change the CMOD of the sites/default/files folder to 777. Certain hosts seem to change the permissions of the folders on upload. The other common reason is that the tmp folder isn't set up properly. You should navigate to Administer > Site Configuration > File System and confirm that both paths do exist. Also try changing the system from 'Private' to 'Public'.
If it's neither of these, it may be something less common - a server setting perhaps - and if you don't mind parting with login info I'll have to actually take a look at the site itself.
Hi Rob.
If you mail me your email address I'll give you the server details etc and you can have a look.
Regards
Tan
Rob, that last message was me by the way I forgot to log in first and it posted as anonymous ;)
Hey Rob,
It's weird, I set the file system from Public to Private and it works ok now???
SO I guess this case can be closed...
Regards
Rob, this problem still persists. I have send a support email with all the server details etc in the hope you can help.
Kind Regards
Armandtan
Thanks, Armandtan. Checking into it now.
Many thanks Rob.
Desperately need to get my profile site up ;)
How you getting on Rob?
I set the file system back to private and it seems to be working. This isn't ideal - in order to use the Public you have to have Clean Urls enabled on the site. I'm trying to do this now. Are you using shared hosting? What's your hosting provider?
