It was left out, actually. I've attached an updated version of comment.tpl.php, just rename and overwrite and you can add this CSS to the style sheet for some basic stylin':
.comment-signature {
padding-top: 10px;
font-size: 0.8em;
border-top: 1px dashed #dddddd;
}
