On the slideshow or featured view, the html is being displayed once you click through to the node (in this case the paragraph tags). Is there a way to just eliminate the Pager item text from being displayed on the node?

Solved. Had a WYSIWYG editor (CK Editor) installed. Needed to turn off for those pages. Though too bad cannot use editor for content on the page.
