Even after I've unchecked all the post settings on both the theme page settings and the global theme settings, I'm still getting post information (time of post and person who posted page) for my pages. I want only post information for blogs and not for anything else. Thanks.
Hey,
There was actually a problem with node.tpl.php, I've attached the updated to this post. :) The toggles in the theme's settings should work once you overwrite the file (the Global ones are disabled).

Thanks for the update to node.tpl.php -- however, even though I have boxes checked in global & Deepsea settings, I can't get user profile photos to appear on their posts.
I am trying to set it so pics only appear in blog posts ---thanks.
Ah, this requires two more updates - the user pictures were left out originally. Another new version of node.tpl.php, and an update to deepsea.info.

Nice work Rob, it worked like a champ!
Thanks for these guides.
I've got Deepsea recently and I have a question.
How can I change the slider speed - it's changing too fast.
May be this seems immature but I am noob and I am trying my own way without much technical knowledge.
Please help.
Hi,
The speeds of the slider are controlled in the Dynamic Display Block configuration. You'll find that at Administer > Site Configuration > Dynamic Display Block. Click to configure the block, and then scroll down to 'Dynamic Display Block' settings. You see a drop down for 'speed' and 'timeout'. The speed controls the actual animations, and the timeout is the length of time between transitions.
Hey Rob,
thanks for the updated files, I don't get this to work though. I replaced the files but I can't check the User-picture ability in the theme-settings.
Any ideas what might be wrong?
Try this new version of deepsea.info (it's attached as deepsea.txt, you'll have to rename it). You may need to clear the cache at Administer > Site Configuration > Performance, but I think that should fix the issue.

Hey Rob,
thanks for your answer. Unfortunately, that didn't help. The option "user-pictures" is still inactive and cannot be activated in theme options (neither global nor in deepsea-settings).
I renamed the deepsea.txt to .info, replaced it and cleared the cache.
Hm, and the picture support is enabled in the user settings? It really should be working. I'll look at it again.
