FYI: I added a couple declaration blocks in custom.css to no effect; added to style7.css and got desired effect. Any idea why? Did I need to modify another file?

Is custom.css activated in your theme info file?
Is custom.css loaded when you open your site (view page source) ?

Well - there's a good reason for that. I forgot to tell template.php to import it (it was never actually supported in Smooth so I don't remember how it even made it into the CSS folder). If you haven't changed template.php, I've attached an updated version. If you have changed it, let me know and I'll provide instructions.

Thank you. I had just added changes to style7.css. This is nice for future.
